The Rock is committed to consistently challenging itself to address and meet the pressing needs and issues of our day. Our objective is to remain cutting edge in our expression, methods, in addition to our responsibility to our community in times of crisis socially, politically, and spiritually.
Worship
The Rock is passionate about fostering an environment for people to encounter the spirit of God through artistic expression, music, prayer, and etc. in the beauty of holiness and reverence.
Diversity
It is our desire to be a place that many will gather from all backgrounds and people groups for the purpose corporate Worship. Everyone cultural expression and story must be seen, felt, and honored.
Family
It is our desire to promote, inspire, and foster healthy families from a biblical perspective. We believe that a family structured by Biblical values and principles sets the standard and is the moral fabric of our society.
Community
We believe that it is the responsibility of the Church to be the beacon of light in the Community. The Rock believes that we are called to be the influence and place of refuge for the Community of which we serve.
Multi-generational Ministry
We believe that in order to protect and cultivate the future of the Lord’s Church it begins with giving space, voice, and power to every Generation in the Kingdom. Preparing the Body of Christ for ministry is a Kingdom mandate and all-encompassing of the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Our focus is to always be a place where every age and expression contributes.
Creativity and Innovation
We believe that in order for a ministry to continually foster intrigue it will have to embrace unique methods and unconventional ideas that can possibly position the ministry for longevity and cultural significance.
Discipleship
We believe that Discipleship is the key ingredient to establishing fruit that will remain. Though we are prepared to win the lost we are equally prepared to nourish new converts with the word of God . Discipleship is the giving of one’s self wholly to see a person walk toward s and eventually in the will of God for their life.
Evangelism
We believe that the entire body is called to Evangelism not just her leadership. It is our passion to reach the lost in our families, community, and city. It is our desire that Through the vehicle of outreach people will encounter and respond to the love of God.
Gifts of the Spirit
The Holy Spirit has entrusted every believer with gifts without works or merit. It is the responsibility of the local church to help discover, educate and activate this treasure in the life of the believer.
Giving
Giving is paramount to and at the core of our ministry expression and culture. We desire to be a people of financial integrity, transparency, responsibility and opportunity.
Legacy
Legacy is the cornerstone of vision. Everything Christ allows us to build and develop in His Church is for the purpose of impacting a people and generation yet to be realized.
Leadership
God has entrusted His Church to headship for vision, care, and doctrine. At The Rock we deliberately honor, support and uphold those who are designated leaders within our body and the body of Christ at large.
Servanthood
Servanthood is the heartbeat of the local Church. There is not true leadership without service to one another. The bible is clear with the charge to prefer our brother/sister over ourselves.
Honor
Every member of the body is worthy of honor. The Rock is dedicated to being a safe place for all of her partners and guests. We do this by demonstrating honor and deference toward each other in public and private.
